You’ve got to sell your heart (reblogged)

You’ve got to sell your heart.

via You’ve got to sell your heart.

As I am sipping my morning coffee and trundling about WordPress, I had the privilege to read this piece by Christian.  While I am not as fluent in art and artists as he, the words about beginning to write rang straight through to my bones.  I started this blog after the death of my husband – but I had been writing privately for years and years.   So yes, when you have nothing to lose, you begin to give.

I’ve never written for greatness.  I’ve written to sort out things, to deconstruct things, but mostly I’ve written so that others can see that you can live through all sorts of pain and bits of life being ripped away without becoming crushed, broken and permanently discouraged.  I’ve written to show that real people in real places suffer things most of their co-workers and neighbors never know about, and just keep right on going.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Christian, and keep on writing!
