Mid Week Musings – Reader Thank You

I normally don’t post on Wednesdays, because it’s the most hectic work day of my week. But in a conversation with another blogger, a thought hit me today about all of you, my readers. Many of you are new; in fact, more than half of you, within the last six weeks. You don’t really know me yet.

In June alone, over 42 million posts were made here on WordPress.  Yet hundreds of you check in here each week, some of you daily, and give me a gift – the gift of your time and attention.  Your time is something you cannot retrieve once it is spent, and for that, I’d honestly and sincerely like to say “Thank you.”  It means more than you can possibly know, because it is the foundation of my dreams that you view each time you visit here.

A few weeks ago I reminded all of you as to your status of Alphas – as in Alpha readers.  Your feedback, your interaction, your views, your time; every bit of it is an investment, just like someone tossing a coin into a buckster’s bucket.  Like saying “Carry on.”  Some of you may now be backing away from the screen saying “Hell, I just came by because you popped up in that sidebar thingy – I am not committed to anyone’s dreams.Where is that button for ‘Run away'” – click/scroll  😀

But I would be remiss to not share the depth of my appreciation, for each of you. And to promise that all of you that have commented, I have your E-mail address and will send my autograph if I become famous (hah!) on the condition that you never reveal my whereabouts, lol!

Before the advent of services like WordPress, YouTube, Blogger and so forth, we had no awareness of the amazing mass of talent out and among the world. It was limited to those that made it by sheer determination or absolute luck/talent combination, that came to be known.  I am surely not the best of any of the realms: Writing, Poetry or Photography.  Yet most of you return regularly.  Many of you comment, giving more of your time besides the read and the ‘like’ click. I value that.

Here’s something for all of you to brighten your “Hump Day” activities:

Thank You

As my challenge to you over the next month, I’d like to ask a favor.  Pick one post from the archives, read it, and comment.  Let me know your thoughts. There’s almost four years worth to choose from 🙂  I write what I write from the heart – so it won’t change my writing.  But it will allow me to see what YOU find of value here.

I’d also like to thank the following bloggers for their re-blogs, and one, for allowing me to guest post before his amazingly huge audience, created in just over ONE year.

Opinionated Man over at HarsH ReaLitY – thanks OM!

Alfred’s Almanac – thanks Paul!

The Mirror Obscura – thanks KB!

Priya Ghose Photography  and Click and Color – thanks Priya! (psst, there is a 100.00 wine coupon available on this site…just sayiin’!)

Space2Live – Thanks Brenda!

Give these folks a moment of your time as well, if you would. There are others who have re-blogged just my photos, but these folks have promoted my writing – my dream.

‘Till tomorrow, when you get your Tale Tellers Tattle…thanks 🙂

~SE

The thanks goes both ways. We are a community after all, aren’t we!? Your words are so honest and poignant. And yes, you are right, the blogger world has opened up for many new talents to shine.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words!

To your point Otto – many see the ‘net as restricting interaction in the interpersonal realm. Sometimes that is true, yes. But more, I find it introduces us to people we rarely, if ever, would meet in 3D life. People countries or continents away. And for some, it is truly a lifeline, due to disabilities, circumstances or personal challenges at this point in their lives.

We ARE a community, and one I’m darn happy to be in 🙂

I will gladly leave you some warm fuzzies. I “discovered” your blog because I subscribe to space2live. Brenda included a line from your poem Scaffold of Words in one her posts and I followed the link, intrigued. What a wonderful surprise to find another woman who shares her life and self discoveries openly. Thank you for speaking eloquently on subjects that I feel passionately about but cannot craft into a readable paragraph.

Somehow, with the beauty of that paragraph, I hardly think you’ll have any problems with readability 🙂 Thank you for coming by, Brenda is a kindred soul. I do hope you’ll find something you like during your visit at any one of my three blogs. It’s great to have you!
